All characters can be played by actors of any gender.
All characters except for Harry, Joe, Rebel, and Ben can double as zombies when not in a scene.
The brains of the Harry Pants and Joe Detective Agency, Harry is a classic, hard-boiled detective who could have used a little more time in the pot. Together, they are some of the only detectives left during the zombie apocalypse and possibly the only ones who can save the world.
1950s movie detective wardrobe: overcode, fedora, magnifying glass, etc.
In life, Joe was a terrible detective. Now that Joe is a zombie, they are doing everything they can to make up for it—and maybe eat some brains along the way.
Zombie-fied (torn, stained, etc.) 1950s movie detective wardrobe: torn overcoat, ripped fedora, etc.
A brilliant if distracted scientist close to finding a cure for the zombie plague. Spends much of the movie as a non-reanimated corpse.
Lab coat, glasses, pocket protector, etc.
Dr. Wilde’s spouse who wishes they spent more time cleaning Dr. Wilde’s lab. A zombie and the prime suspect for Dr. Wilde’s murder.
Zombie-fied (torn, stained, etc.) cleaning attire.
Normal clothes. Imagine something that would look good in an old black-and-white film.

Dr. Wilde’s wealthy and impatient benefactor who wants Dr. Wilde to find the cure so they can brag about it to their wealthy friends.

An informant with dubious contacts who passes important information to Harry.
“Inconspicuous” clothes that are trying too hard (like a spy who is obviously dressed like a spy. Dark glasses, fedora, overcoat, etc.
A mad scientist who has nefarious plans for world domination. Last name is pronounced “Creep-AY.”
Lab coat; messed-up hair; taped glasses; ugly, mis-matched shirt and pants that would have gotten poor Willie teased as a child.
Dr. Kreepé’s muscle who also laugh and clap on demand.
“Tough-guy” clothes, matched as much as possible. Dark turtlenecks, sunglasses, etc.
Horde of zombies that is often doing hijinks in the background and sometimes attack the humans. The more zombies, the better!
