Congratulations! You have been cast in a Let’s Make a Movie! production. This is a fun and exciting experience where you and others will film an actual movie and then have your very own Red Carpet Premiere. When it’s done, you’ll be able to share the finished product with your family and friends!

Business is lousy for detectives Harry Pants and Joe. What do you expect during the zombie apocalypse? But when a scientist on the verge of discovering a cure for the zombie plague is murdered and fails to rise from the dead, the detectives must solve the case and save the world.
Will they succeed or join the hordes of zombies themselves?
Inspired by classic noir and zombie thrillers like The Maltese Falcon and The Night of the Living Dead, Murder by Zombie is a fun and exciting movie sure to keep you and your friends entertained.

All characters can be played by actors of any gender.
Before filming day, please print, review, fill out, and sign these documents or you may not be able to participate.
Movies are filmed in short takes, so you don’t need to memorize your part in advance. Scripts will be provided the day of the event and will be collected at the end.
Most LET’S MAKE A MOVIE! productions are appropriate for all ages. Any exceptions will be noted in your invitation.
No experience or acting ability is required! None of the actors are professionals, and no one expects you to be perfect. Just come and have a great time!

Most roles do not require makeup, however, you are welcome to wear some. In some cases, like for zombies, you can do your own or basic stage makeup will be provided on set.
Yes! Stunts are a ton of fun and one of the best parts of filming a movie. For safety reasons, there are very few stunts in LET’S MAKE A MOVIE! productions. Most involve running, falling down, or bumping into things.
Filming schedules are very tight and require active participation throughout. Please discuss any possible conflicts with your host and event planner to determine if accommodations can be made in the case of your event.
The length of the event depends on the length of the script and the number of scenes and actors. Most LET’S MAKE A MOVIE! productions have been designed to be completed in roughly 5-6 hours, including filming, editing, and the Red Carpet Premiere. Check with the event host or planners for details about how long your specific event will take.
They are welcome to attend with approval from the host and given enough space at the premiere location. Also, the video will be available on YouTube for you to share.
The movie will be freely available for streaming on YouTube and the Serendipity Encounters website. Have fun sharing it with family and friends, and don’t forget to watch all the credits.
